The Senior Network Engineer will maintain, design and implement networking, firewall, data communications, e-commerce web load-balancing and telecommunications infrastructures of the firm. The environment consists of tiered multi-core network components interconnected using a number of point-to-point, MPLS and VPN connections to financial services companies, market data vendors, ISPs, remote sites and users. Responsible for troubleshooting and analysis of all elements of the Cisco Network and Telephony deployments including software, communications devices, circuits, routers, and end station devices. Monitors and controls performance and status of all network resources. Utilizes software and hardware tools, identifies and diagnoses problems affecting network performance.
Minimum 5 years of hands-on network engineering and troubleshooting experience, preferable exposure to market data networks, strong computer science or telecommunications background, Cisco CCIE certification desirable.
Responsibilities
?Extensive knowledge and experience of Core Routing and Switching, design, configuration, troubleshooting and usage of recommended best practices
?Extensive knowledge and experience with Cisco Nexus 7018, 5596, 2248, 2232, Cisco Catalyst switches 3750X, 3500, 4900, Routers ASR, 2900, 3900 series
?Extensive understanding of routing protocols BGP, EIGRP, LAN technologies, redundancy HSRP and WAN connectivity DMVPN, MPLS.
?Extensive understanding of Spanning-tree, VTP, Port Channels, VPC, RSPAN Monitoring, Multicast
?Extensive understanding of Network Security, including the design, configuration, and tuning of Cisco security appliances including Cisco ASA 5500 Firewalls, ACL configuration, IPSec tunnels, SSL VPN, NAT, ASA packet capture wizard, Palo Alto firewalls, Aruba Networks Clearpass Policy Managers, NAC Network Access Control technology, RSA Authentication Manager, Cisco ACS 5.x software
?Extensive understanding and configuration experience of Cisco Wireless Controllers 5508, Access Points 3602, wireless redundancy, roaming, remote office access points
?Extensive network troubleshooting skills, utilizing Wireshark, Netflow, Spectrum and other tools, working with Cisco TAC
?Understanding of converged ethernet technology, FCoE, MDS 9500 hardware management, FC interface configuration and connectivity
?Manage external market data connections over dedicated circuits, VPN, SSL and shared infrastructure (BT Radianz), low latency networking
?Knowledge of QOS configuration on IOS switches, Cisco voice gateways, LLQ on WAN routers
?Maintain CA Spectrum network management system for real-time and proactive monitoring of all network resources
?Manage site-to-site dark fiber network using Ciena DWDM Optical Transport Solutions
?Manage Global Server Load Balancing using Citrix NetScaler appliances, web content load balancing, site failover, certificate management
?Experience with VMware ESX 5.x, ESXi virtualization technology, ability to build proof of concept environments
?Proven extensive engineering documentation skills using Visio, downloading stencils, focus on detail
?Manage daily operational processes for all network and telecommunications systems, follow change control process
?Maintain 24x7x365 coverage and support for network systems
?Define, plan, and coordinate network and telecommunications projects
?Contribute to long term network design strategy and roadmap, core network architecture, establishment of engineering standards and best practice guides

year?s experience designing, building and maintaining preferably financial enterprise network environments
?Cisco CCIE certification desirable, BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent field experience
?Highly technical hands-on engineer with ability to troubleshoot all diverse hardware platforms and technical relationships
?Team and detail oriented, open and collaborative work ethic with a well-developed sense of ownership and responsibility, flexible, adaptable and easy to work with.
?Innate curiosity for networking infrastructure and technologies

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
