Position Summary:
We are currently seeking an exceptional candidate who has the initiative, organizational skills, creativity, and conceptual intelligence we need to assist and support the Head of Collaboration and Desktop within IT. The Chief of Staff should enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and juggling a large number of priorities. The ideal candidate would have the ability to manage a variety of goals on a daily basis and act as a management resource. We are looking for an exemplary communicator ? in writing, over the phone, and in person ? who is also extremely detail-oriented and organized. Candidates must be willing to give and receive constructive feedback and find ways to improve internal processes and procedures. Exceptional candidates will grow their responsibilities over time, limited only by their skills and ability.

Responsibilities would include:

Provide ongoing support to the Head of Collaboration and Desktop across a variety of topic, inclusive of:
o Contribute to the alignment of service strategy and business needs and help ensure customers are in synch,
o Ensuring service is built and evolves to meet strategy,
o Ensure services are operating well and support requirements,
o Ensure service risks and security are above the bar
Provide general operational support to execute management strategy while ensuring that management prioritizes and meets their responsibilities excellently
Plan, organize, and secure necessary resources to consistently improve and maintain internal processes and operations
Lead the planning and implementation of small projects & goals, track deliverables, implement and manage changes and interventions, assess the output/results of the project and revise work plans as appropriate
Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a clear and timely fashion
Position Requirements:
5 or more years of experience in Chief of Staff or similar position in a mid to large complex environment
Experience in IT and ITIL environments; ideally within Desktop and Collaboration background
Exposure to managing process improvement, developing work-flows, and project coordination/administration are a plus, though not required
Demonstrated ability to manage projects effectively (setting clear goals, identifying roadblocks, designing solutions, and tracking progress against deadlines)
Has low threshold for errors, bad processes, etc
Strong ability to work independently and efficiently, prioritize multiple tasks, and execute reliably
Solid organizational and time management skills, plus attention to detail
Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
Common sense approach to problem solving and prioritization
Must be willing to give and receive constructive feedback

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
