We are looking for an achievement-oriented, proactive Senior Accountant to join our team who takes initiative, possesses a strong sense of personal responsibility and ownership, and enjoys a challenge persisting to overcome obstacles. This individual will report to the Investment Management Company Controller, and will play an integral role in tracking and accounting for the financial operations of the Company. This individual will be responsible for execution of vital functions within this team as outlined below.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, He or she must be logical, have common sense, discretion, and strong analytical skills. Additionally, the ideal candidate should be process improvement oriented, with focus on the identification of opportunities for improvement and advancement within this team.
Responsibilities would include:
? Perform P&L account analysis, ensuring a deep understanding of various accounts
? Own various balance sheet accounts ensuring
Reconciliations are complete,
Proper supporting documentation exists and
The activity makes sense
? Liaison to departments to ensure quality data is provided in a timely manner and provide guidance and monitor quality of the information received as well as record and analyze the data
? Ensure maintenance of financial and accounting records
? Aid in technical accounting projects as assigned
? Complex projects as assigned
? Prepare monthly and year end work papers
Position Requirements:
? Bachelor?s degree from a competitive school, demonstrating strong academic record
? 3 -5 years accounting experience, fixed asset and internal use software accounting experience a plus
? Proficient Excel skills and exposure to accounting software packages and report writers
? Experience with Workday a plus
? Entrepreneurial individual who is proactive, detail oriented, and highly organized
? Team player with high integrity and who strives for excellence
? High degree of common sense, good judgment, discretion, logical thinking
? Strong communication skills mandatory in this fast-paced, multi-tasking environmentEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
