Job Duties:
The following duties involve supervision of functions only, not personnel; and, require the use of standard occupational tools and knowledge to enable job performance. Reporting to Head of Systems, assume responsibility for the studios digital animation technology infrastructure, which supports production requirements, business goals and the activities of creative artists working in a dynamic, fast-paced production environment. Core responsibilities focus on security, networking, network-attached storage and server infrastructure. Secure studio assets according to best practices and industry standards. Maintain the server and storage environment for enterprise applications including: (1) Network services, including DHCP, DNS, and NTP; (2) Directory services, including LDAP, Active Director, NIS and Samba; (3) Storage services, including NFS, CIFS and auto-mounters; (4) Enterprise services including monitoring and alerting systems like Nagios. Recognize and resolve problems quickly to minimize the impact on production processes. Engage in performance monitoring and metrics duties. Establish policies regarding system use and services. Provide technical leadership and project implementation management with a focus on complex cross-platform integration projects. Develop system requirements, acceptance test procedures and RFPs for new projects. Ensure that solutions delivery is in line with production and business goals. Handle a heavy, diverse workload in an organized, systematic way and contribute at a high level while maintaining perspective. Contribute to cost-benefit studies for new and existing systems. Work on multiple projects, priorities and tasks. Communicate effectively and accurately with management, technical staff, customers and vendors. As assigned, perform other duties normally associated with this occupation.
Minimum requirements:
MS in Computer Science or related IT major providing the required knowledge and abilities plus 3 years of experience designing, implementing and managing technology, that provided the required skills and abilities. Alternatively, BS in Computer Science or related IT major providing the required knowledge and abilities plus 5 progressive, post-degree years of experience designing, implementing and managing technology, that provided the required skills and abilities. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable. The term suitable, in this context, means substantial compatibility with stated job academic level and experience requirements and ability to perform job duties.
Competency criteria (skills, tools, knowledge, technologies, etc.) include the following:
1. Background in networking, implementing and managing a hi-performance network and distributed computing environment;
2. Proficient knowledge of the principles of routing, client/server programming, the design of consistent network-wide file system layouts and comprehensive network security;
3. Background working with Network Attached Storage (NAS) Implementation and NAS File System Management;
4. Background working with DHCP, DNS, and NTP network services;
5. Background working with LDAP, Active Directory, NIS and Samba Directory Services;
6. Background working with NFS, CIFS and auto-mounters Storage Services;
7. Background working with enterprise monitoring and alerting systems like Nagios;
8. Background supporting large-scale Linux based workstation and server environments;
9. Background using Mac OS X and Windows operating systems, including integration and troubleshooting in mixed environments;
10. Proficient ability to program in scripting languages such as Perl, AWK, Bourne and/or C shells; and,
11. Experience in writing and presenting specifications, proposals and white papers.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
