Human Resources / Payroll Specialist

Main purpose:
Responsible for the administration and processing of all payroll and benefits.
Function as liaison between sales, operation centers and finance.
Functions:
Maintain employee files and payroll database.
Process all payrolls including commissions. (Paypro)
Preparation of monthly commission statements.
Preparation of journal entries related to payroll and benefits.
Administer all benefit plans including health and 401(k) plan.
Establish/enforce procedures for new and terminated employees.
Ensure compliance with all state regulations.
Prepare and maintain all employee policies.
Maintain Employee manual and ensure compliance by all galleries.
Prepare and distribute policies to gallery personnel and enforce adherence to such policies.
Managerial & personal attributes:
An appreciation of the sales environment and the role of finance in supporting these areas.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong work ethic and team orientation.
Ability to effectively utilize a PC and spreadsheet financial modeling skills including Excel and Access. Microsoft Dynamics SL a plus.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
