P&L Reporting Java Developer

We are seeking an experienced Systems Developer who will assist with the architecture, design, implementation, and daily support of the firm's P&L systems.

You will:

?Support of intraday and end of day portfolio valuation
?Monitoring and understanding market events and the expected impact on the portfolio to ensure the P&L displayed to users in real-time is accurate and reflective of market moves
?Detail P&L calculations by instrument, strategy and account
?NAV generation and ROR calculations
?Preparation of daily P&L reports
?Daily communication with portfolio managers and other departments within the firm including investor services, risk and trading services
?Ensure quality of work through development and implementation of QA procedures and standards
?Build custom front-end applications while integrating with existing back-end systems
?Participate in the analysis and recommendation of deploying third-party solutions (build vs. buy)
?Adhere to best practices in change control and documentation
?Review existing computer programs and recommend refinements, improvements, and enhancements to ensure most efficient methods are employed
?Communicate with commercial vendors to develop programs and/or interfaces

?5
years in IT with at least 3
years? experience in developing financial systems
?BA/BS degree in Computer Science, or equivalent field is required
?Experience in NAV reporting and security level P&L reporting
?Working knowledge of multiple asset types, pricing, P&L calculation and standard market conventions
?Strong analytical and mathematical skills
?Understanding of trade flow processing and operations
?Understanding of financial services business knowledge including asset classes, instruments, workflows and products
?Understanding of object oriented programming and programming principles
?Understanding of MS SQL Server, Transact-SQL, SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Analysis Services
?Understanding of Java, AJAX programming concepts
?Understanding of Web protocols and programming requirements
?Understanding of enterprise-level automation and scheduling concepts
?Knowledge of HTML, VBScript, .NET, C#, preferred but not required
?Knowledge of XML, C/C+
and messaging preferred but not required
?Excellent written and verbal communication skillsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
