Interactive Brokers seeks to hire a Clearing Operations Specialist in the Retail Clearing Department of a U.S. broker-dealer, an international group of companies involved in proprietary trading and customer brokerage in securities and derivatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out particular functions and goals of the Clearing Department as well as objectives of the organization within the guidelines and procedures that have been established by the Clearing Manager.
The new operations specialist will work heavily on settlements and inventory management. In addition to that, he or she will have to prepare the general ledgers and provide support in the absence of other team members.
Core responsibilities
Management and settlement of Broker-to-Broker fails
Preparation of USD and CAD General Ledgers in the banking system.
Physical certificate processing, and management of DTC Custody Service.
Bachelor Degree in Mathematics, Science, or Business.
The ideal candidate will have:
1 year experience in Back Office operations or internship
Be detail oriented, with excellent math skills and a logical approach to problem solving
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Efficiently handle a multitude of tasks, while maintaining a low error rateEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
