Fund Accounting Manager, Accountants


Large financial firm in NYC needs:
Fund Accounting Manager
6-7 years previous accounting and supervisory experience required
Previous industry with financial services hedge funds/fund of funds a plus
Responsibilities:
Understanding of the hedge funds under administration (legal structure, investment objective, fee structure, liquidity provisions, etc.)
Understanding of securities valuation, settlement properties and attributes
Strong knowledge of accounting concepts and current accounting principles
Professionalism and responsiveness during interaction with Auditors and Tax Preparers for Funds
Daily supervision of one or more fund accountants
Staff training and development
Staff evaluation and review
Full responsibility for fund accounting process including:
Daily reconciliation of cash balances
Daily/Monthly reconciliation of investment positions and market values
Trade processing
Gathering and processing corporate actions
Confirming validity of corporate actions and significant price changes with independent source
Requirements :
Four yeardegree in accounting or finance required
CPA or CPA candidate a plus
CFA or CFA candidate a plus
6-7 years previous accounting and supervisory experience required
Previous industry with financial services hedge funds/fund of funds a plus
Willingness to learn new systems, concepts and broaden knowledge in the industry
Strong organizational skills
Detail oriented
Flexible
Base Salary to 120K plus Bonus

Hedge Fund Accountant
2-4 years previous accounting and supervisory experience required
Previous industry experience with financial services hedge funds/fund of funds
